Daniel Strachman

Daniel is a financial services expert with more than twenty years of Wall Street experience. He is recognized as an expert in all aspects of the investment management industry including corporate governance, fund structuring, product development, operations, fund administration, marketing and distribution.

Throughout his extensive career, Daniel has worked in hedge fund and mutual fund product development and marketing as well as institutional brokerage and investment management at firms including Cantor Fitzgerald & Company, Morgan Stanley & Company, Orbitex Group of Funds and Apex Fund Services. He is an expert in all aspects of retail and institutional distribution for both traditional and alternative investment products and services. Daniel is currently Managing Director of A&C Advisors, a boutique strategic consulting firm focused on the investment management industry and corporate governance. He is a registered director under the Directors Registration and Licensing Law, 2014 of the Cayman Islands.

Daniel is the author of nine books on investment strategy, the hedge fund industry, and investment management including The Fundamentals of Hedge Fund Management, The Long and Short of Hedge Funds and Getting Started In Hedge Funds. He is also the author of Julian Robertson, a Tiger in the land of Bulls and Bears. Daniel’s books have translated into Japanese, Chinese and Korean. His articles have appeared in The Financial Times, The Boston Globe, Interview Magazine, The New York Post and American Banker. Daniel is formerly an adjunct professor at Rutgers University Business School where he taught graduate level courses on corporate finance and investment analysis. He also served as an expert witness in a number of investment management litigation cases focused on fund marketing, redemption policies and structuring. He has appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg, National Public Radio and the BBC. He is formerly an adjunct professor at New York University’s School of Continuing Education and has lectured at the New York Society of Security Analysts. He is a graduate of Clark University.
